Window, cash register smashed by thief at James White's Fort
According to James White Fort Association President John Deatherage, someone broke through the fence and used a rock to break a glass pane on a door, before trying to get money out of the cash register.

McMinn deputy uninjured after hit by ricochet bullet
When Judson Green, who had an outstanding warrant on violation of community corrections, attempted to flee, Etowah police fired six shots in his direction. One of those ricocheted and struck Johnson in the torso.

Woman dead after pit bull attack
An 85-year old woman died Saturday after being mauled by the family pet. According to police it took bullets from 2 deputies and a neighbor to finally subdue the dog.
