Del Tackett Bio

Dr. Del Tackett is the Creator of Focus on the Family's The Truth Project—a nationwide initiative designed to bring the Christian worldview to the body of Christ.  He formerly served at the President of the Focus on the Family Institute and a former Senior Vice President of Focus on the Family. He works with Coral Ridge Ministries as TV co-host for the show Cross Examine. He is also an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church in America. Del holds three earned degrees (D.M., Colorado Technical University; M.S., Auburn University; B.S., Kansas State University). He has published a variety of written works including articles in Focus on the Family magazine that address worldview and cultural issues. A sought-after conference speaker, Del addresses topics such as American Christian heritage, Christian worldview, technical subjects and management. Del and his wife, Melissa, have four grown children.

A Cultural Engager

Del hosted and taught the Cross Examine television series. He also created several video series, including Who Is Jesus? and Focus on the Family’s The Truth Project, a worldview curriculum estimated to have been seen by over 12 million people worldwide.

A Public Servant

Del served more than 20 years as an officer in the United States Air Force. During the George H. W. Bush administration, he served at the White House as director of technical planning for the National Security Council.

An Engineer

Del worked for years in the software engineering discipline and led the tiger team that developed a critical command and control system for NORAD in Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado.

An Educator

Del is one of the founders of New Geneva Theological Seminary and was a professor of numerous worldview courses. He led and taught for years at the collegiate Focus Leadership Institute. He currently teaches as an adjunct professor for the Alliance Defending Freedom, Summit Ministries and Impact 360. Del has his doctorate in Management and Computer Science.

Ready for the Next Step?

The long-awaited Engagement Project is Dr. Del Tackett’s next set of small-group worldview tours. All of his previous teachings (the Truth Project, Cross Examine, Is Genesis History, etc.) were developed with the goal to help believers build a comprehensive, systematic biblical worldview. 

And now, with that foundation, we are ready to take the next big step: to know Him more deeply and then to understand who we truly are, why we are still here, and what God has asked us to do.

Description of the Engagement Project Tours

The Engagement Project's ten tours will again take us on a marvelous quest of seeking the face of God and, as best as He will allow, to gaze upon the Crown Jewel in His nature—a quest we hope and pray will deeply transform the Body of Christ.

This will lead us to understand where we are in God’s Meta-Narrative and the incredible vision that He has entrusted the primary work of the Kingdom to the common, everyday Christian. 

The Transformation

And, if God should so bless and the Body of Christ would simply begin to do what He has asked us to do, we are convinced it will change everything. It will change each of our lives; radically transform our families; and, by God’s grace, turn the world around us right side up.
